"Through games, videos, slide shows, and more, WebMD’s new website Fit teaches kids about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. They can also test their health IQ, take a mood challenge, and keep tabs on their physical activity. The site is organized by age, and there’s even a complimentary site for parents." ~Family Fun February 2012

"Way more fun than the food pyramid, this PBS site promotes good nutrition and physical activity through educational games, yummy recipes, dance-along videos, printable place mats, and funny talk show parodies. A spoonful of humor helps the information go down--as do the hip graphics." --Family Fun September 2010 This week's website is an oldy but goody: freerice.com
Answer questions on English language, grammar, math, geography, and more. For every answer that you get right, they donate 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program. Have fun!! http://yucky.discovery.com/flash/
This website has lots of great educational and entertaining science information, from gross and cool body, to roach world, to worm world. Read about ear wax, digestion, circulation, dandruff, poop, sweat, zits and more! EWWWW. Do you think this is the yuckiest site on the Internet? I heard about this website from Family Fun Magazine. Here is what they said: "The famous San Francisco science museum feeds curious minds with wildly original exhibits designed to engage and educate. Intriguing interactive activities--including a memory lab and the Slice-o-Scope microscopic bread tour--also offer explanatory follow-ups for young answer-seekers."
Visit the exhibits and learn about science at the Exploratorium! This week's website is called DogEared Book Blog. From National Geographic Kids website, this blog features book reviews and allows registered users to make comments. This blog is great for getting book recommendations and seeing sample book reviews.
